AFFORDABILITY FUND TRUST

Greenbrain was one of the lead service providers to deliver the AFFORDABILITY FUND TRUST program, servicing more than 25 electric utilities and their customers.

Together, we were able to help over 30,000 households find energy savings in their homes.

WHAT IS THE AFFORDABILITY FUND TRUST (AFT)?

The AFT program was funded by the Government of Ontario, and offered by your local electric utility, has been providing eligible households with FREE energy-saving upgrades, to help reduce energy consumption.

Potential upgrades include:

ENERY STAR certified                          ENERGY STAR certified                                  Insulation

        LED bulbs                                              appliances                                      and heat pumps

HOW IT WORKS

The level you qualify for depends on your net income and average energy bill. It all starts by visiting the program website - affordabilityfund.org

STEP 1

Complete the form on affordabilityfund.org.  Please be sure to have your electricity account number handy when reaching out.  We recommend reaching out via phone to skip STEP 2, and get instantly verified for the program over the phone. PLEASE NOTE: The application window for this program has now closed.

STEP 2

If you completed the online form, you'll receive a call from the AffordAbility Fund to verify your eligibility, and determine your level program participation.

STEP 3

Receive your FREE energy-saving kit (valued at up to $250), and set-up a FREE in-home energy assessment and the installation of energy-saving products (for those who qualify for Levels 2/3).

PLEASE NOTE: This program has now ended, and new applications are no longer being accepted.
